A Funny Story
I unfortunatly don't have any pictures to show of this but here is the story. Today was the first day of our 9 am block of church meetings, and Adam is out of town. I had to get both girls out the door by 8:30 am to get to church on time. Do you think we made it? Heavens NO! Here is why. I was being a "mean mother" and wouldn't allow Elle to play with a screw driver that she found laying around. She was so mad at me. I told her to go and get dressed for church. She stomped to her bedroom and then yelled, "I am going to wear the most terrible outfit!" and then slammed the door. I rolled my eyes and continued to get myself ready. I went in a few minutes later to see what "terrible" outfit she had put on, and to my surprise, she had packed up her Tinkerbell suitcase with some of her clothes and her teddy bear. I asked her what was going on and she told me that she was moving out, because she couldn't "take it anymore!" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. When did my 4 year old turn 16? I told her that I will be sad with out her and asked her where she was going. She had plans to go live with her little friend Daniel next door. She got her toothbrush and toothpaste and we went downstairs and she gave me a hug and told me I could come visit her if I wanted. I asked her to say goodbye to Ava who was completely unaware of what was going on. Elle mumbled goodbye to her and then said she would write me IF she missed me and then walked out the door. I watched her for a minute and she just stood outside for a few seconds and then knocked on her friends door and talked to them for about 2 minutes and then next thing I knew, she was back in the house again playing with Ava. What drama, over a screwdriver! I can only imagine what the drama will be when she really is 16. Heaven help me!
Christmas Photos
We had a great Christmas this year. I have finally figured out how many and what kind of gifts to get them. They love simple Christmas's, and we do too:) Adam and Elle did their orange juice and I decided to let the dream of cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning go. I am a terrible baker, so Adam made delicious waffles. It was a much needed break for our family.
